How to Correctly Install and Secure Wigs Lace Front Without Damaging Your Edges
-
If you want to install wigs lace front without using glue or damaging your edges, you need to prepare and glue properly. Make flat cornrows of your natural hair, and put on the wig cap with a neutral color. Wipe your hairline with 70% isopropyl alcohol to remove oil and sweat, which would serve as the bonding surface of glue.
To Help Protect Your Skin: Before applying any melt spray or adhesive glue, spray a skin protector barrier around your perimeter. To help protect your skin, use a non-toxic, light adhesive or hairspray in thin coats, and smooth into a clear, dry coat before pressing down the lace. To secure a lace front wig, line up the lace front with your part line, press into the adhesive with a fine-tooth comb, and tie a silk or meltspray band around your perimeter for 10-15 minutes.
Don't use your adhesive on baby hairs to protect your thin edges from traction or breakage. Soaking the lace with an alcohol-based or oil-based lace remover will help dissolve the bond entirely. Doing this will prevent you from pulling or peeling the lace off.
