I'm hoping someone here can help me figure out what's going on with my car because I've been dealing with this issue for a few months now and it's honestly starting to drive me insane. I drive a 2015 A4 that I bought about two years ago, and for the most part it's been a great car, but there's this one thing that's been bugging me and I can't seem to get to the bottom of it. Whenever I'm coming to a stop, like at a red light or in traffic, the car jerks or lurches forward just as I'm about to come to a complete stop. It's not a violent jerk or anything, more like a subtle bump that you can feel through the whole car, and it happens almost every single time I brake. At first I thought it might be the brakes, so I had them checked and they were perfectly fine. Then I thought maybe it was the engine mounts, but those were also in good condition according to the mechanic I took it to. I've been doing some reading online and I've come across a few people who had similar issues and it turned out to be related to the transmission, something about the torque converter not unlocking properly or the downshift timing being off. The thing is, I'm not really sure how to confirm if that's the problem or if I'm just going down the wrong rabbit hole. I've taken it to a couple of different garages and they all seem to have different opinions on what's causing it, which is really frustrating because I don't want to keep throwing money at random fixes that might not even address the real issue. One mechanic told me it could be a software issue and that a transmission reset might solve it, while another said it could be the start of a more serious mechanical problem and I should start preparing for a major repair. I honestly don't know who to believe at this point. I've been considering taking it to a specialist because I feel like these general mechanics just don't have the specific knowledge required to diagnose Audi transmission issues properly. I've heard that if you find out more about our Audi transmission repair in Abu Dhabi, there are shops there that deal with these exact symptoms on a daily basis and can usually pinpoint the problem much faster. I'm just getting really tired of this jerky feeling every time I brake, it's making my commute really unpleasant and I'm starting to dread driving the car. Has anyone else experienced this kind of jerking when coming to a stop? What ended up being the cause and how did you fix it? I'm hoping it's something relatively simple like a software update or a fluid change because I really don't want to have to spend thousands on a transmission rebuild if I can avoid it. Any advice or insight would be massively appreciated because I'm honestly at a loss here and I just want my car to drive smoothly again. Thanks for reading and I hope someone out there has some answers for me.
