Best Practices & Workflow Tips for Ecommerce Image Editing

I’ve recently started working on an online store and quickly realized how important ecommerce image editing is. My raw product photos look okay, but definitely not “professional” enough to compete with bigger brands.
I’m trying to figure out a solid workflow like what steps people usually follow from raw image to final upload. Also curious about tools (Photoshop, Lightroom, plugins, etc.), how much editing is too much, and how to keep images optimized for fast loading.
Would love to hear how you all handle your product images—especially if you're running your own store or working with clients. Any tips, mistakes to avoid, or tools you swear by?
