Dan Hampton helped define the physical identity of the Chicago Bears defense during the 1980s. Known as “Danimal,” he could line up at defensive end or defensive tackle, using strength and quickness to disrupt opposing offenses. His career reached its high point with Chicago’s Super Bowl XX championship team, and he later earned a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002.
The Dan Hampton Jersey celebrates a key figure from one of the most celebrated eras in Bears history. A four-time Pro Bowl selection, Hampton was part of a defensive unit remembered for its intensity and dominance, making his name especially meaningful to fans who cherish the franchise’s championship tradition.
