To learn how to recover a deleted screenshot, one must start by looking in the Recycle Bin, Trash, or Recently Deleted folder based on the type of device he/she uses. If the screenshot is not found in these folders, then try to search for it in iCloud, Google Photos, OneDrive, Time Machine, or any other backup tool that may have kept an older copy of the file. The user can also search on his/her device using the filename or image extension in order to confirm that the screenshot did not get moved into a different folder. If there is no backup of the screenshot and it has been permanently deleted, then limit the use of the particular storage device to prevent overwriting of the deleted screenshot.
