Electrical gremlins in my Pajero – need a proper specialist
-
So my 2018 Pajero has started doing this really weird thing where the dashboard lights flicker randomly while I'm driving, and sometimes the infotainment screen just goes blank for a few seconds before coming back on, which is super unsettling especially at night when you're trying to focus on the road. I took it to a local garage that claimed they could handle electrical issues, and they spent two days with it before telling me they couldn't find anything wrong and that I should just live with it, which is obviously not a solution when you're worried about getting stranded somewhere. The battery is fairly new and the alternator was tested and seems fine, so I'm guessing there's a loose connection somewhere or maybe a failing relay that's causing these intermittent issues, but I really need someone who knows how to properly diagnose electrical problems rather than just guessing. I live in the MBZ City area and work not too far from there, so I'd really prefer to find somewhere local rather than driving across town with a car that could potentially cut out at any moment. A mate of mine who drives a Land Cruiser mentioned there's expert car electrical repair in MBZ City that he used when his central locking started acting up, and he said they actually traced the fault properly rather than just swapping parts randomly. Has anyone here had electrical work done locally and can recommend a place that actually has the right diagnostic equipment and know-how to sort out these kinds of issues? I'm getting tired of driving around wondering if my lights are going to go out mid-journey.
