How do you get your frontal wig hairline to look like real scalp?
-
Transforming a lace frontal wig into a flawless, realistic scalp effect relies on four essential steps: bleaching, plucking, tinting, and melting.
Bleach the Knots: Start by bleaching out those little black knots where the hair is tied to the lace. See what it looks like when it's lightened up? Now you can see where the hairs are sprouting out of the skin.
Pluck it Out: You have to pluck some of that hair away. Frontals don't have a straight, thick line of hairs going across the forehead. It looks like it's coming out of your head in a nice gradient pattern.
Tint the Mesh: Make sure to tint the mesh to match your skin tone with a lace tint spray, liquid, or powder. High-definition lace or Swiss lace is best for this to make it look seamless.
Melt it On: Use a skin-safe holding spray or glue, press the lace into it, and then hold it on with an elastic melt band for 10-15 minutes.
Finish by dusting a light layer of concealer directly along the parting line to seal the undetectable, skin-like finish.
