I've got a 2017 Peugeot 508 SW diesel that I absolutely love for the long drives to Abu Dhabi and back, but lately it's been blowing out a fair bit of blue smoke on cold starts and there's a slight loss of power when I'm climbing up the inclines on E11. I've had the EGR valve cleaned and the turbo checked by a general workshop in Al Barsha but they seemed pretty clueless about the specific emissions systems on these modern PSA diesels and just charged me for diagnostics that didn't really lead to any clear answers. I'm starting to get worried that it could be something more serious like the injectors or even the DPF starting to clog up, and I really don't want to end up stranded on the side of the road with a car full of family. A colleague at work mentioned that finding a proper Peugeot repair workshop Al Quoz area with mechanics who actually understand these engines would be a much better bet than going to a generic garage that mainly works on Japanese or German cars. Has anyone here had a good experience getting their diesel Peugeot properly diagnosed and fixed around there? I don't mind paying a bit more for a place that knows what they're doing and uses the right diagnostic tools, I'm just tired of throwing money at workshops that are basically just guessing. Also curious if anyone else has dealt with similar blue smoke issues and what the root cause ended up being for you.
