I’ve been trying to stay updated on the snow fall total in Iowa this winter because conditions seem to be changing a lot from one county to another.

Some areas are getting light snow while others are seeing much heavier accumulation, and it’s making it hard to understand the real situation statewide.

Does anyone here regularly track snow totals in Iowa or know a reliable source for county-by-county snowfall reports? I’m especially interested in accurate updates after each winter storm, not just forecasts.

It would also be helpful for:

Travel planning

Snow removal timing

Road safety awareness

General winter tracking
If you have any tools, websites, or methods you use to check snow fall total in Iowa, please share them here.

Would appreciate any insights!
