I help run a local team and we’re finally ready to replace our mismatched old kits with proper customised jerseys. We need around 15 to 20 shirts with our club name, player names, numbers, and a sponsor logo on the front. I’ve never ordered anything like this before, and there are so many websites out there that I’m not sure who to trust.

Most of the sites I’ve looked at seem to fall into two groups: big retailers with fixed templates and very little flexibility, or small makers who let you design from scratch but don’t show much of their work. I’d like something in between, a supplier that handles custom designs properly and delivers on time without blowing the budget.

If you’ve Buy Customised Jerseys before, I’d really appreciate your advice on a few things:

Is it better to go with a UK-based supplier, or are overseas ones worth the savings?
What fabric holds up best for regular matches and frequent washing?
Are printed or embroidered names and numbers better for durability?
How long does production usually take, and should I order well before the season starts?
Is there a minimum order quantity, and does the price per shirt drop on bigger orders?
Can you usually get a mock-up or sample before committing to the full order?
Any hidden costs to look out for, such as setup fees or charges for extra colours?

I’d also love to hear about any mistakes you made on your first order, like getting the sizing wrong or approving a design too quickly, so I can avoid them. Photos of your finished kits would be great too, since it would help me see what’s realistic.
